We're Real People. This is Our Real Home. 

My name is Chris Hammack, and together with my wife Kerrie, we own and personally manage both homes at 169 and 165 Jacana Street on Hilton Head Island. 

We're not a property management company. We're not a faceless LLC. We're a family from Lancaster, Ohio who fell in love with North Forest Beach and decided to build something special there. 

We built 169 Jacana in 2023 with one goal in mind — to create a home that could actually hold a big family comfortably. Not just sleep them, but feed them, entertain them, and give everyone their own space. Seven bedrooms, six ensuite bathrooms, a kitchen that seats 20, a private heated pool, spa, and an elevator — because grandparents and little ones deserve a vacation too. 

165 Jacana came next, built to the same standard right next door. Because once word got out, families started asking if they could book both. 

What makes us different from booking on Airbnb or VRBO: 

When you book directly with us, you're talking to Chris and Kerrie — not a platform algorithm. Our local team, Rena and Juliette, will meet you at the door on arrival day, walk you through the home, and give you their direct number for the week. When something comes up — and occasionally things do — we answer the phone. 

We've hosted families of 15, reunions of 40, milestone birthdays, anniversary trips, and everything in between. Every single guest gets the same level of attention whether they book for a long weekend or a full week. 

We take pride in these homes because they're ours. You'll find them clean, well-stocked, and exactly as described — every time.
